THE TURKISH MARKET

Over the years , on Nahum Dubrin Street, the Eastern road in the shopping center, was created an open market which over the years became known as “The Turkish Market Today there are several fast food stalls and restaurants in the market area, among them: The Original Restaurant and others. At "Jacko's Fish Place" there are several fast food stalls offering felafel, shawarma and bourekas ("Beit Bourekas HaTurki" - The House of Turkish Bourekas). WADI NISNAS

is a neighborhood in Haifa located between Sderot HaTzionut on its West, Shabbtai Street on its South, , Neviim Street on its East and Allenby Street on its North. Its population is approximately 8,000.
Since 1993, a festival known as the “Holiday of Holidays” takes place in the Wadi during the month of December, near the time of the Christian holiday of Christmas and the Jewish holiday of Channuka. The festival is an expression of the multicultural character of the neighborhood and bears a message of coexistence. During the course of the festival, the alleys of th neighborhood comprise the “Path of Art”, where artistis display their original works. Some of the works of art remain between the buildings, perpetually lit all year round, adding to the neighborhood’s special quality.
